WELCOME to Smyrna Baptist Church! Smyrna is an amazing place full of incredible people whose passion is to worship and serve our awesome GOD and Savior through the leadership of the Spirit.
What a joy to greet you on behalf of the
Smyrna Baptist family. We are pleased that you have found us on the web.
Our goal is that this web site will give you a glimpse into the life of our church and what the Lord is doing here. Our prayer is that you will accept this invitation to come and worship the Lord with us. There is nothing like being here! Smyrna has become a family of believers who anticipate a fresh encounter with God every week. We are experiencing phenomenal growth in our church and now offer a variety of worship styles, ministries and opportunities of service. We look forward to worshiping with you real soon.

CHURCH BELIEFS
The Holy Scriptures, which are the inerrant Word of God, is the basis of any statement of faith and for our conduct. This church receives the Scriptures as its sole authority in matters of faith and practice and subscribes to the Baptist Faith & Message as adopted by the Southern Baptist Convention in 2000.
The ordinances of this church are believer's baptism by immersion and the Lord's Supper. We believe that Jesus is the only way to the Father. "There is no other name under heaven by which you can be saved." We thank God for the Holy Spirit who is our Comforter, Guide, and who empowers us to live the Christian life.
MISSION STATEMENT
Smyrna Baptist Church exists for the purpose of building up a community of fully equipped believers who give glory to God with every aspect of their lives!
HISTORY
On October 1, 1897, after a two-day meeting a group of county residents worked to establish a new Baptist church. On November 16, 1897 plans were submitted for a new building and on December 31, 1897 the church was given a name, Smyrna Baptist Church.
